The Adorable Way Katie Lee Biegel Celebrated Her Daughter's First Birthday

When you're little, birthdays mean the entire world. Turning one year older means you're growing, learning, and experiencing more of what life has to offer. It also means you get to enjoy your very own special holiday and be surrounded by the people who love you, open gifts, and possibly even enjoy some scrumptious birthday cake. Each of these milestones is also meaningful to kiddos' parents, guardians, family members, and friends who are happy to shower their kin with a bit of extra love for the day.

For many of us regular people, it's also fun to scroll through social media feeds and see photos of our favorite celebs' youngsters having a blast on their birthday. And it's pretty heartwarming to see people celebrating their kids' birthdays in unique ways, even during a global pandemic. Chef, TV personality, and cookbook author Katie Lee Biegel is no different. Her daughter Iris is now one-year-old, and the way in which the new mommy celebrated her baby girl's first birthday is the sweetest thing!

How did Katie Lee Biegel celebrate her daughter's first birthday?

Iris Marion Biegel was born on September 2, 2020, and Katie shared the wonderful news on her Instagram on that special day. On the morning of September 3, 2021, Katie followed up with another post featuring a photo of herself holding her darling daughter near the edge of a dock in Southampton, New York with the caption, "Iris loves bananas so I wore a banana dress and made her a banana cake for her birthday. I am totally bananas for my banana girl."

It's clear that Iris loves munching on bananas for a sweet and healthy snack! Within the first hour, the precious 'gram garnered nearly 18,000 likes and a slew of comments from fans praising the cuteness of their matching mommy-and-daughter outfits. While one person wrote "Cuuuuuute," another advised Iris, "do whatever you want today."

In case you were wondering where the dynamic duo's fruity frocks are from, Katie's banana-patterned maxi dress is from FARM Rio, an independent designer shop based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Iris's banana yellow onesie is from Kyte Baby, a bamboo sleepwear and clothing brand for kids and new parents out of Dallas, Texas. Happy birthday, Iris!
