In fact, Panda Express has previously tested unusual dishes such as scallion pancake wraps and orange chicken salad and has what it calls an "Innovation Kitchen."

Well, the company now has an exciting, brand-new menu item available for customers to try. According to Thrillist, the orange chicken sandwich will be a limited release that will be on sale for a short period.

Per Chew Boom, the orange chicken sandwich will be a special dish with white chicken breast, orange chicken glaze, an aioli sauce, shredded cabbage, crinkle cut bread, and butter pickles served with a Hawaiian bun. Curious to sample this menu item? Well, you'll have to head to the Innovation Kitchen in Pasadena, California, if you really want to sink your teeth into the new sandwich.
It will be priced at $5.99 and will be available starting September 16. According to Thrillist, it's likely to be on the menu for just four weeks. Currently, the company has not revealed any plans to make orange chicken sandwiches available in other parts of the country.
Hardcore fans will be able to recall that Panda Express has already tried similar options, such as an orange chicken burrito in 2017. Still, if you enjoy trying new dishes, this one's worth a shot.
