Costco Has Good News For Fans Of These White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels

Move over, pumpkin spice! It's time for eggnog, hot chocolate, and all things gingerbread and peppermint to shine. That's right — from cheese and beer advent calendars to hot chocolate bombs and apple cider donuts, Instagram's Costco Buys has been spying Christmas treats sneakily taking over all the snack and beverage aisles at Costco since as early as September.

Now, another Instagram account dedicated to throwing light on hidden Costco gems, @costco_doesitagain, has found that one particular holiday favorite is back at Costco: Snack Factory's White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps. And, as always, the sweet pretzel bags seem to be flying off the shelves.

With more than 3,000 likes as of this writing, the post has pretzel fans thrilled. "I'm in trouble!!! I love these pretzels," read one comment, while another fan could not get over just how good these holiday pretzels are. "These are SOOOOO GOOD! They are really pretzels too not just cheap dipped ones, they're the more flat, larger style." But that's not all Snack Factory has to offer.

Snack Factory has a dark chocolate version of these pretzels, too

Per Snack Factory's website, the pretzel company gives its signature crisp pretzels a festive makeover by dipping them in a "rich, creamy white chocolate-flavored coating" and dusting tiny shavings of peppermint candy on top. Costcuisine found that the saltiness of the crunchy pretzel crisps makes the white chocolate somehow taste creamier and richer, making the White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps a fantastic sweet and salty holiday snack.

While the white chocolate version of the pretzel crisp is ridiculously popular, this variety may not be everyone's cup of tea. Luckily, Snack Factory also has a Dark Chocolate & Peppermint version of its holiday pretzel crisps. Made in a similar fashion as its white chocolate counterpart — peppermint candy shavings and all — these pretzels are simply covered in dark chocolate instead of white.

Last year, the White Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps were priced at a little under $10 for a 20-ounce bag and the prices got slashed to $4.99 a little closer to Christmas (via Costco Buys). While the white chocolate-covered pretzels may tick all your festive snack boxes, per the company's website, a one-ounce serving, aka five pretzels, amounts to 130 calories. That may not seem like a lot on the surface, but then again, can anybody ever stick to the serving size when it comes to snacks that are this delicious? Plus, at the rate they're flying off shelves, you'll want to savor every morsel!
