Here's How Snoop Dogg's Gin Brand Is Celebrating His 50th Birthday
While you couldn't go anywhere without hearing a Snoop Dogg song back in the day (OK, and still can't!), the D-O-Double G has been making a name for himself in the food and beverage industry. The first things that come to mind might be his TV appearances and cooking specials with the one and only Martha Stewart (via People). Their friendship is said to have started over a bowl of mashed potatoes and bloomed from there. He has also dabbled in the wine industry with the debut of his line, 19 Crimes, which has grown to include Cali Red and Cali Rosé (via Delish).
Now, he's taken sippin' on gin and juice to the next level with his gin brand, INDOGGO (via the company website). Recently, INDOGGO announced on its Instagram account that with a milestone birthday coming up for Snoop Dogg on October 20th (half a century, per Biography), the brand has created a new cocktail that pays homage to Snoop's rap past and culinary present. Cue "The Laid Back," which is made with – you guessed it – gin and juice!
How do you make the drink?
According to the INDOGGO website, for this drink, you'll need coconut milk, lemon juice, vanilla syrup, and gin (preferably INDOGGO!). Then, of course, there is a special Snoop Dogg twist on it. You'll also need a shaker and strainer to create this cocktail and some ice. Once it's done, pour it into a classic coupe glass for a celebratory look. In the spirit of the artist temporarily known as Snoop Lion, the recipe calls for the optional addition of CBD oil tincture as well as a CBD leaf for a garnish.
