Costco Fans Can't Wait To Decorate These Giant Gingerbread Kits

Along with sipping hot cocoa by the fire, decorating the Christmas tree (and maybe even chopping it down), and driving around at night to look at all the Christmas lights, decorating gingerbread is a popular holiday tradition that kids and adults alike look forward to every December. Whether it's gingerbread houses or gingerbread men, the spicy-sweet dough serves as a blank canvas for your most imaginative designs. With the help of candies, icing, and whatever other edible goodies you can find, gingerbread can become anything you can dream of. It's such a popular tradition that there's even a National Gingerbread House Day on December 12 each year (via Southern Living).

While you could bake your own gingerbread, you can also buy it pre-made. This year, there are plenty of creative decorate-your-own gingerbread house and cookie kits available, from the cult-favorite "Ninjabread" men to a gingerbread football stadium. Unsurprisingly, Costco is a haven of great finds, including the gingerbread mansion and now, according to a recent Instagram post, giant gingerbread men.

The gingerbread cookie kits have everything you need

Whether you want to keep kids entertained for a few hours or are looking for a way to get the whole family into the holiday spirit, these giant gingerbread cookies from Costco might just be your solution. Costco fan account @costcohotfinds recently posted a photo of the festive find to Instagram, and followers are very excited. Each kit comes with three pre-baked, ready-to-decorate oversized gingerbread men along with icing and gumdrops. Costing less than $9 per kit — $8.79, to be exact — the kits are available at Costcos across the country.

Note that people say what's inside the kit can vary from location to location (some had different colored icing and accessories). Also, don't expect to eat your cookie creations. According to reviewers who have purchased the kits in the past, the gingerbread men do not taste as good as they luck. A.k.a. tell the kiddos that these guys are for decoration only.

If you can't find this particular kit at your local Costco, fear not. The retailer also came out with a similar gingerbread cookie kit earlier this season, spotted by @costco_doesitagain on Instagram.
