"This sauce was so bitter and acidic that I spent an hour trying to 'doctor' the sauce by adding a pinch of baking soda, heavy cream, and other ingredients to tame the bitterness." Ew. As with all of the Rustic Cut sauces from Bertolli, this pasta sauce features thicker-cut vegetables, which might not be for everyone and might not be the right sauce for every dish that you make.

But the reviews of the sauce are generally positive. "For a jarred sauce I'd say it is definitely one of the better ones out there. It tastes fresh and has a semi-thick texture.
