Here's Where Mary Makes It Easy Is Actually Filmed

Mary Berg is building an impressive name for herself. The Canadian celebrity chef first appeared on the television culinary scene as the winner of the third season of "MasterChef Canada." Berg is a natural in front of the camera with her bubbly personality and charm, which viewers took a liking to during her stints on Canada's "CTV's Your Morning," "The Social," and "The Marilyn Denis Show" (via A Small Stove).

These popular appearances led to her first show, "Mary's Kitchen Crush," which aired on CTV in 2019, and went on to win the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Lifestyle Program or Series and Best Hosts in both 2020 and 2021 (via IMDb).

In September 2021, the rising star's show, "Mary Makes It Easy," premiered on CTV and features the chef taking on everyday cooking challenges while talking her viewers through step-by-step solutions. December 2021 brought another huge announcement for the self-taught chef, which she said she was "COMPLETELY LOSING HER MARBLES" over, revealing on Instagram that "Mary Makes It Easy" would be going international and airing on the Food Network in February 2022.

What makes this more of a special moment for Berg is that she gets to welcome American viewers into a place very close to her heart: Her kitchen.

Mary Berg welcomes viewers into her own home

On "Mary Makes It Easy," host Mary Berg teaches viewers how to prepare stress-free meals through a series of 12 episodes. On one episode alone the chef focuses purely on chicken and features four easy preparations including a roast chicken and an easy chicken parmesan recipe.

The show gets a more personal touch than some others, as it's filmed in Berg's own Toronto home. And if you think she has a big, fancy kitchen, think again. Her small space has modestly-sized appliances, open shelves, and, frankly, not a ton of counter space. Nevertheless, Berg told TV, eh? that the plan for the show never wavered from having her own kitchen as the filming locale. She wants the show to have a "more of a comfortable, tight-knit, cozy, homey vibe" that makes viewers feel like a guest at her breakfast bar.

Berg also reveals her anticipation of getting to know other Food Network stars, proposing in her Instagram announcement, "Are Ina and I going to become best buds and drink cosmos all day?!" She doesn't stop there, but you get the gist. Fans are hyped for what Berg will bring to the table with one exclaiming in the comments "DYING for a Mary & Ree collab. Fingers crossed!"
