  • Sarah landed herself a dream assignment — joining FoodNetwork celebrities on a hayride in rural Ohio followed by an outdoor tasting party.
  • Sarah has worked in several roles writing for print magazines like AAA World, Cruising World, Relish, Girl Camper, Costco Connections and more. She knew at a young age she wanted to be a writer. At age 12, she started a neighborhood newspaper called "The Neighborhood Scoop," where she interviewed neighbors on their pets, gardens and hobbies.
  • Her food writing experience is extensive. She's interviewed celebrity chefs, gone behind-the-scenes into chefs' kitchens and written advertorials for national food brands. In addition, she's tasted her way across the country finding the most unique farm-to-table experiences and food tours.

Experience

Sarah Miller has worked as a professional writer for over a decade. She started her career in food/grocery public relations where she covered everything from sushi to gourmet desserts. Sarah launched her own writing business, contributing to national print magazines on everything from food to travel. She lives in the Midwest, and she loves scouting out unique food spots, natural wonders and hidden treasures across the country. Sarah's writing has been recognized with the Francis E. Roberts Creative Writing Award. She coaches other aspiring writers through workshops. Her journey with Mashed started in 2022 where she gets to indulge her passions in writing and food.

Education

Sarah Miller attended Bowling Green State University where she studied journalism and graduated with honors. At BGSU, she lived in the French House (La Maison Francaise) with French foreign exchange students. Sarah was President of the French House and turned the house into an impromptu French Restaurant for the campus as a fundraiser. She was also Photo Editor for the campus yearbook and had a regular education column in the Bowling Green Sentinel Tribune.
