Aldi's Toasted Sesame Oil Is Once Again Being Cherished By Customers

Whether for frying, sautéing, or marinating, choosing the right type of oil can make a big difference in the flavor and texture of your food. While olive oil is among the most popular oils in cooking, there are other great options depending on your needs and preferences. Take sesame oil, for instance. Made from raw sesame seeds, it has a nuttier flavor than other oils and is particularly common in Asian cuisine like stir fries and fried rice. It also has health benefits. Sesame oil is high in antioxidants and heart-healthy unsaturated fats and can reduce inflammation and stabilize blood sugar (via Healthline).

You can find sesame oil at almost any major grocer. But Aldi has its own version that's a big hit among shoppers. The beloved condiment recently reappeared on Aldi shelves, according to an Instagram post by the fan account @adventuresinaldi. Here's why Aldi shoppers are so into the Carlini toasted sesame oil found at the budget grocery retailer.

Shoppers love the popular oil

The Carlini toasted sesame oil from Aldi is a product that comes and goes at stores — but is always highly anticipated by shoppers. Instagrammer @adventuresinaldi recently spotted it at their local store, calling it one of their favorite Aldi items. They say it "makes dishes soooo flavorful." Plenty of commenters — and other social media users — agree. Fellow Aldi Instagram account, @theamazingaldi, previously shared a photo of the oil, writing, "love cooking and making marinades and dressings with it...so good!" There is even an entire Reddit thread dedicated to the Aldi find.

"Its nutty flavor shines through, without any unpleasant bitterness," the blogger at Almost All Aldi wrote in their review of the condiment last year, adding that "just a little bit goes such a long way in adding flavor." According to Aldi's website, the Carlini toasted sesame oil is a seasonal item, which means it won't last long. The original poster on Instagram says that a 16.9-ounce bottle of the oil costs $5.99 at their Aldi, although prices will vary by location.
