Restaurants and food brands are rolling out the red carpet for all the mothers of the world and their families on this day to encourage diners to visit with deals ranging from gift card freebies to coupons. Mother's Day also happens to be one of the best days for business in the restaurant industry.
A 2022 survey by the National Restaurant Association found that at least 40% of Americans are planning to head to a restaurant on Mother's Day or order take-out on the holiday. In addition, at least 44% of consumers are also looking for deals or freebies. Restaurant booking service OpenTable said in a report that the most popular cuisines to treat Mom to last year were American, Italian, Steakhouses, Seafood, and Mexican. California Pizza Kitchen's heart-shaped deal
To start off the Mother's Day deals, let's look at the returning pizza on a heart-shaped crust that is on offer at California Pizza Kitchen. These uniquely shaped pizzas placed on a heart-shaped thin crust will be available to guests at no additional charge. The pizzas will be on offer both to those who dine in and those who carry out, in case you want to spend the day at home.
This is not the only gift CPK wants to bestow on your mom, as there are a couple of gift card bonuses on offer as well. Guests who dine at CPK during Mother's Day Weekend on May 13 and May 14 will receive a $10 bonus gift card for every $50 spent. Might be time to bring some California sun (okay, pizza) into your mom's world.
KFC is doling out free nuggets
Sometimes nostalgic foods are the perfect gift. Kentucky Fried Chicken is offering twelve free nuggets for moms if they order the KFC Nuggets of Appreciation Meal through Sunday, May 14. The special can be ordered through the KFC app or online at KFC.com.
Moms can choose between eight bone-in chicken or chicken tenders and will also receive two sides, two biscuits, as well as sauces with the meal. Mother's Day greeting cards are also available for download as well, in case you forgot to buy one for mom.
White Castle offers dessert on a stick
For those looking for a fast food solution on Mother's Day, White Castle is offering moms a free dessert on a stick with any purchase during Mother's Day weekend from May 12 to May 14. But, you'll need to use the coupon. To take advantage of the Mother's Day deal, guests must visit the location in person and must dine in.
White Castle is home to the Original Slider and has operated for over 100 years across the country. In fact, it is credited with being the first fast food restaurant so you could even impress mom with a bit of your fast food general knowledge as you dig into that free dessert.
Schlotzsky's Cinnabon BOGO deal
Schlotzsky, a nationwide fast food chain that is known for selling American food including sandwiches and pizza, is offering a sweet deal for Mother's Day Weekend (May 12 to May 14). The famous sandwich shop is offering rewards members a Cinnabon Buy One Get One over the entire weekend.
However, the deal is only valid for Cinnabon's Classic Roll, MiniBon, and Center of the Roll plus not all of the store's 350 locations are participating, so it'd be wise to call and check before you show up with mom. Also, there is a limit of one deal per user on the BOGO promotion (which, let's face it should probably be mom).
Outback Steakhouse's Peach Bellini
Moms deserve a premium dining experience on their special day and steak is arguably one of the best items one can buy. And, Outback Steakhouse is sweetening the experience by offering a Peach Bellini drink special from May 10 to May 14. The drink features blood orange, peach puree, and prosecco, plus it will be served with a burst of green mint as a garnish.
The Australian-themed steak concept is also serving up $10 for every $50 gift card purchased until June 18 to help make spoiling mom even more special. The brand also recently brought back the Loaded Bloomin' Onion, Sirloin & Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Aussie JAWSie, a shark-themed cocktail.
