TikTok Is Salty Over Chick-Fil-A Being Viewed As Worse Than Raising Cane's

Americans love fried chicken so much that there are countless chains across the country dedicated to perfecting the art of crispy, juicy, deep-fried chicken. From Popeyes to Church's and Zaxby's, fried chicken aficionados from coast to coast have plenty to choose from. But with great passion comes great divide and some fried chicken connoisseurs on TikTok are beefing over whether or not Raising Cane's is actually better than Chick-fil-A.

One food critic on TikTok who shares videos reviewing popular fast-food chains posted a video comparing Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's. To keep an even playing field, he ordered chicken strips, fries, and both chains' respective house-made sauces. In the end, he gave Raising Cane's an 8.5 rating, but only gave Chick-fil-A an 8. Chaos ensued.

The TikTok user who posted the video said that although Cane's sauce is what ultimately gives the chicken strips their flavor, one user argued that "A good tender should be able to be eaten on its own without any sauce." Another person followed up by saying "Raising Cane's nothin' without that sauce." One Chick-fil-A defender simply wrote "Trippin" in response to the ratings.

Which fried chicken chain is actually better?

Whether Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's is better than the other ultimately comes down to the customer's personal preference. However, there are some numbers and figures that can paint a picture of which fried chicken outlet is better.

If we're measuring whether or not one chain is better than the other using popularity statistics, Chick-fil-A takes the crown. Chick-fil-A has a whopping 2,928 U.S. locations while Raising Cane's only has 689 U.S. locations, which could indicate that there's more demand for Chick-fil-A than Raising Cane's. But in the restaurant industry, popularity and high volume of customers can lead to rushed food preparation that compromises flavor, so others might argue that Raising Cane's excels because it's more of a "hidden gem."

When it comes to choices, Chick-fil-A has a more abundant menu offering classics like fried chicken sandwiches, Cobb salads, and breakfast. Cane's has a more simplified menu with only four combos to choose from. If you're looking for options — Chick-fil-A might be the better option. However, despite its limitations, Cane's has a more affordable menu.

But we all know what matters most when it comes to picking which chain is better — flavor. And according to the masses on TikTok, Chick-fil-A's fried chicken is better seasoned and can stand alone without the help of a special sauce.

Whichever chain is your go-to spot for fried chicken, in our eyes, there's no wrong choice.
