Jimmy John's Celebrates National Sandwich Day With New '90s Drip

In recent years, countless food companies have thrown their brands back to the '90s, whether it's SpaghettiOs' limited-edition lunchboxes or Pizza Hut's retro clothing line. Popular sandwich chain Jimmy John's is just now hopping on the trend train by offering a nostalgic merch drop of its own.

On November 3 — aka National Sandwich Day — Jimmy John's will release its jacket collab with Starter, a popular streetwear brand. The jackets will be available for purchase through the Jimmy John's apparel website and will be priced at $150 each, though a few randomly selected Rewards members will allegedly have early access to the launch.

Each half-zip hooded jacket is made with black windbreaker material and accented with red and white. The jackets also feature a large front pocket emblazoned with the Jimmy John's logo, and the Starter logo will appear on the sleeve and zipper pull. All in all, the Jimmy John's x Starter jacket is pretty on par with the fashion company's usual style and incorporates important elements of Jimmy John's branding.

Jimmy John's x Starter jacket sales benefit kids across the U.S.

As ride-or-die Jimmy John's fans may know, sales of exclusive merch pieces directly benefit the Jimmy John's Foundation, which works closely with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The newest jacket collab with Starter will be joining this cause, and all proceeds will be donated.

Together, the Jimmy John's Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America teach children the skills they need to grow into successful, independent adults. Since the Foundation's creation in 2021, it has donated more than $425,000 to like-minded programs.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America, meanwhile, offer mentorships and a safe space for kids to learn, grow, and find opportunities they might not otherwise have. In addition to monetary donations, the nonprofit is also always looking for volunteers, mentors, and partners. That said, if you can't get your hands on a Jimmy John's jacket, there are plenty of other ways to contribute to the cause.
