Ignore The Mom-Shamers — Freeze McDonald's Nuggets For Meal Prep

Sometimes, parents have difficulty preparing full meals for their children every night, especially when trying to juggle work, after-school activities, and daily errands. That's why TikTok user @seebiedeebie had the clever idea to freeze 80 McDonald's chicken nuggets as a meal-prep method. Unfortunately, many commenters weren't pleased with their decision.

"These are the only nuggets that my child eats. That's why I buy so many of them, then I freeze them," they said, showing several stacked boxes of McNuggets. In the video, they go on to explain their freezing method: Placing all the nuggets in a Ziploc bag, sticking them in a refrigerator for a day to eliminate moisture and, finally, moving them to the freezer.

As you might expect, the comments section was full of disapproving TikTok users. "I only ate what mom cooked, or starved," one user wrote. In reply, the original poster stated they don't believe in that parenting style. "That's real healthy," another user wrote, sarcastically. Thankfully, some users defended the parent, acknowledging that a fed child is better than a hungry child.

Other commenters came to the TikToker's rescue

In response to the negativity @seebiedeebie received for their video, other TikTok users helped stand up for them. "Do whatever works for you and YOUR family. Don't worry about all these mean comments," read one reply. "Tooooo much judgment in these comments. At least he's eating," wrote another user.

If you decide to use this meal-prepping tip, there are a few factors to keep in mind. McDonald's McNuggets can be frozen for as long as three months, and the most effective method is to freeze them on a baking tray before placing them in a plastic bag. Make sure your bag is airtight to prevent freezer burn and protect the nuggets' quality. Furthermore, you should refrain from freezing any sauces, but according to @seebiedeebie, refrigerating them is fine. If your family prefers other McDonald's meals over chicken nuggets, you can freeze burgers and fries, too.
