The New Churros From Aldi Everyone Is Talking About

Aldi's latest product drop has us racing to the freezer section yet again. While the last few new releases at Aldi included new fruity wines perfect for spring and a healthy spin on a classic quick snack, cauliflower pizza bites, this next new product is a sweet treat. The budget grocery store chain just released three flavors of frozen churro bites (via Delish).

The new desserts were first spotted and posted to Instagram from a store located in Monroe, Michigan. Unfortunately, based on the comments, the churro bites have not yet been stocked in every Aldi across the country. While some may have to wait a while longer, the bite-sized desserts should find their way to everyone sooner or later.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for the Casa Mamita boxes of these crispy pastry bites. When the churros do make it to a store near you, keep in mind that some flavors have 15 bites per box while another has 20 churros. If you stock up on all three flavors, you'll have plenty of churro bites to mix and match for several nights of desserts.

What you need to know about Aldi's new churros

In the meantime, it's worth learning about these soft and crispy churro bites. Two of the three flavors are filled churros, and the third is a classic take on the dessert with nothing more than sugar and cinnamon. Basically, just imagine a normal churro — but miniaturized.

The other two flavors are filled. The first is filled with apples while the second is filled with creme. That means these churro bites will be soft and gooey on the inside and crisp with cinnamon sugar on the outside.

All of the churro flavors come with cinnamon sugar packets for topping the desserts. Unfortunately, if you want a chocolate sauce on the side for dipping, like real churros, you'll have to make that on your own.

The good news, however, is that the churros can be cooked in a regular, conventional oven, which means you don't need to bust out your deep fryer. However, if you're really wanting to fry them up, there are instructions on the packages for frying.
