Fall Finds At Costco That Deserve A Spot In The Store Year Round
Fall is here, and stores are overflowing with sweets, snacks, and delicious food finds to celebrate the season. The only problem is they're fleeting. Fall treats swoop in faster than the first crisp in the air and seem to disappear before the Thanksgiving table is even cleared. Costco is giving us a taste of its best fall additions, and shoppers say so many deserve a spot in the store year-round. The membership warehouse knows exactly how to get us hooked. From larger-than-life pumpkin-flavored treats to decadent spreads and savory autumnal meals that could feed a small army, fans are thinking about them long after they leave the shelves.
Sure, part of the fun is knowing they will eventually return and running to the store as soon as your favorite fall item arrives, but it's still sad to know we have a limited window to buy them. Some of them have caused such a frenzy for their anticipated return that Costco has started rolling them out at the end of summer. While the warehouse chain has a massive selection of fall finds, we selected five of the top products customers rave about year after year. Consider this our official petition to make these seasonal stars into permanent members of the store's lineup. (Prices vary across locations.)
Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake with Whipped Topping
Pumpkin-flavored everything is back at Costco, with tons of savory and sweet options for those obsessed with the fall spice. And the chain's pumpkin cheesecake is one fall dessert fans just can't stop talking about, season after season. It was spotted this year at the membership retailer at the end of August and has been taking over TikTok, Reddit threads, and Costco fan accounts on Facebook ever since. "So amazing. Scrumptious," said one Redditor. "Our house got one last year. Devoured it in three days. Then bought a second one."
The whopping four-pound cheesecake has lured dessert lovers in with its creamy texture, airy topping, and indulgent pumpkin flavor. With a crumbly, sweet, toasted graham cracker crust as its base, the treat is filled with a pumpkin-flavored cheesecake made with warm spices. Finally, it's topped with whipped cream dusted with graham cracker crumbs. The Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake with Whipped Topping costs $22 to $25 and has 16 servings per container.
CT Bakery Apple Cider Cake Donuts
While picking apples at a mountain orchard is a quintessential fall activity, the real fun is indulging in some piping hot apple cider and sugary apple cider donuts. The only downside is these apple cider donuts are usually only around in the fall season. Luckily, you can head to your local Costco and stock up on the store's Apple Cider Cake Donuts.
Made by Canada-based CT Bakery, the cinnamon-sugar-coated treats were spotted by one shopper at the end of August. Flavored with sweet apple cider, the cake-style donuts are soft, pillowy and even better when slightly warmed. "Oh my gosh, the apple cider donuts are the bomb," exclaimed one customer in the Costco Buys Facebook group. "So, so good ... gone in one day ... looking for more." A 12-pack of the Apple Cider Cake Donuts costs $6.99. At that price, it's worth buying several and freezing them so you can enjoy this fall treat all year long.
Fischer & Wieser Farmstead Maple Pumpkin & Pecan Apple Butter
Apple and pumpkin butters usually only crop up seasonally at farm stands, grocers, and in specialty markets. That leaves those of us who love the sweet, thick spreads pining for them all year long. Luckily, Costco brought in Fischer & Wieser Farmstead Maple Pumpkin and Pecan Apple Butter early this year. This duo is new to the big-box retailer's fall selection, and it's already making waves on Instagram and TikTok. "My favorite Costco Wholesale find yesterday," said one shopper on TikTok, who spotted the pack in August.
Fischer & Wieser Farmstead is a Texas-based, family-owned company that has sold jams, syrups, and butters since 1969. The brand's Maple Pumpkin and Pecan Apple Butter pack has all the flavors of fall in two jars. The Maple Pumpkin Butter combines pumpkin, pure maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and cane sugar. The latter blends jammy apples with roasted and blended pecans, sugar, and spices. You get two 18.5-ounce jars for $11.49. Spread it on pastries, pair it with brie, or enjoy with these apple spice cookies.
Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie
The bird is the word over at Costco. And we're not talking about turkey. Flying in at over five pounds, Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie has returned in all its indulgent glory. Topped with an intricate, ornate pastry lattice made from Kirkland pie dough, the pie is filled with shredded rotisserie chicken, peas, and carrots. "It's the best comfort food and so easy to just throw in the oven for a nice home-cooked meal for the family," said Angela Ackerman on her Costco Guide Instagram account.
Another avid fan recommended coating the top of the pie with an egg wash and dash of garlic salt before baking to bring out all its flavors. Pop it in the oven for an hour and a half for a hearty dish you can enjoy for multiple days. You can even store leftovers in the tin it comes in. According to the package, it yields 18 servings. The Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie costs $3.99 per pound, coming in at just over $22.
Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie
Arguably the most popular fall item that hits Costco every fall is the Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie. This nearly four-pound dessert may be a seasonal treat, but it keeps popping up earlier and earlier in stores, with one shopper spotting it in August. The 12-inch pie uses flaky pie dough the store makes in-house. A custardy pumpkin filling is then added, which is made with pumpkin puree from Libby's, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
The store sells over 6 million pies every season, and in the past, it's topped our list of best store-bought pumpkin pies. Shoppers just can't get enough. "Call me crazy, but they should sell pumpkin pies all year long," said one Redditor. The Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie costs $6 to $7 and yields 12 servings. Stock up before Thanksgiving since the pies freeze well for several weeks, while remaining fresh like it was just made.
