Costco members shopping for seafood at the warehouse membership club can buy items from the fresh fish section or look for something in the freezer case. While we might instinctively think the non-frozen former ocean dwellers taste fresher, that's not necessarily the case. Costco sells some seafood that's flash frozen, which means it got its deep freeze soon after it was caught. Because of that, its quality can be closer to when it just came out of the sea than comparable products in the fresh fish case, depending on how long the latter's journey to the store took. Whichever of the two sections they prefer, shoppers have new seafood items to peruse, because Costco rolled out options in both, and some are among the best of 2026 so far.

You can find lower prices on seafood at the warehouse club, just like with most everything else it sells. However, the category's products are still generally expensive overall, and their cost is even higher when you're buying in bulk. That's why the picks on our list of the best new seafood items this year aren't cheap. They include salmon and tilapia prepared in different ways, like blackened and smoked, tuna poke kits with sauces included, creamy large scallops, a caviar gift sampler, and king crab legs that have an eye-popping, special-occasion-level price tag.

Kirkland Signature Blackened Atlantic Salmon

Each 2-pound box of frozen Blackened Atlantic Salmon from Costco's Kirkland Signature private label brand contains six boneless, skin-on fillets that can go in the oven or air fryer. Farm-raised in Norway without antibiotics, the fish is seasoned with pepper, thyme, oregano, paprika, garlic, onion, chili, and salt. One reviewer on Costco's website wrote: "Our family absolutely loves this salmon! Restaurant quality and flavor!"

Kirkland Signature Blackened Atlantic Salmon is available in-store only for $25.69.

Golden Goat Caviar's Prestige Collection Tasting Gift Tin

Splurge for someone special or treat yourself to Golden Goat Caviar's Prestige Collection Tasting Gift Tin. It holds 1.23 ounces each of four caviars that cover a range of flavors and textures: Siberian sturgeon, classic ossetra, royal white sturgeon, and royal ossetra. The gift box includes a mother-of-pearl spoon, an embossed gold key, and a tasting guide.

Golden Goat Caviar's Prestige Collection Tasting Gift Tin is available online only for $289.99.

Alaska Glacier Seafoods' Red King Crab Legs

The most expensive item by far on our already pricey list is for 10 pounds (a 14-17 count) of Red King Crab Legs from Alaska Glacier Seafoods. The famously large legs are from crabs wild-caught in Alaska by independent fishermen. Cooked and flash frozen, the crab legs just need to be thawed before serving. On Costco's website, one customer described them as, "Huge crab legs and claws. Well worth every dollar I spent."

Alaska Glacier Seafoods' Red King Crab Legs cost $989.99 and are only available online.

Annasea Tuna Poke Kit Trio Pack

Annasea's Tuna Poke Kit Trio Pack comes with 12 individual 8-ounce packs of cubed, sushi-grade tuna and a flavoring sauce (four each of wasabi, spicy, and shoyu). Just thaw the wild-caught tuna, mix with the sauce, and it's ready to enjoy alone, in sushi rolls, in a poke bowl with a base and toppings like watermelon radishes, or however you like.

The Annasea Tuna Poke Kit Trio Pack is only available online and ships frozen for $119.99.

Coastal Seafoods' New England Scallops

Coastal Seafoods' New England Scallops are the large U-10 size, so expect fewer than 10 of the sweet, meaty scallops per pound. These are dry scallops, so they aren't treated with chemical preservatives or fillers that can affect the taste and texture, which is one way to seriously upgrade mollusks.

Coastal Seafoods' New England Scallops are only available online and arrive frozen in three 1-pound packs for $259.99.

Northern Fish Products' Atlantic Smoked Salmon Side

Northern Fish Products' Atlantic Smoked Salmon Side is one 3-pound whole fillet, dry-brined for an entire day and then hot smoked slowly with low heat for moist and flaky results. The premium fish is treated just with brown sugar and salt, and is produced in the U.S. without additives or preservatives. Fully cooked, the frozen salmon only needs to be thawed before eating.

Northern Fish Products' Atlantic Smoked Salmon Side is available online only for $94.99.

Sea Cuisine Frozen Tortilla Crusted Tilapia

A tasty meal is just minutes away with Sea Cuisine's frozen Tortilla Crusted Tilapia. The 2-pound, eight-serving box comes with farm-raised fillets coated with tortilla chips, chipotle pepper, and garlic. Once cooked, eat as-is or make fish tacos with a slaw topping, avocado, and sauce. One Costco website review called them, "The best! So tasty and always cooks up flaky with a crispy crust."
