Who Sang The Old Burger King 'Whopper Whopper' Jingle?
There's no denying that Burger King's "Whopper Whopper" commercial is super catchy and leaves you humming the tune for days, but did you ever wonder who is behind the unforgettable jingle? The fast food franchise released an advertisement for their most popular menu item back in November 2022 as part of its "You Rule" campaign, and the song soon went viral, receiving the remix treatment on TikTok. Turns out, the voice singing "Whopper Whopper" is none other than Will Crown, a Brooklyn-based musician and singer for the group Crown and The M.O.B.
Burger King released the track on Spotify in February 2023 and it has since been listened to over 19.3 million times. Speaking about the jingle during an interview with Warren Shaw in October 2025, Crown joked: "I annoyed the world. Sometimes I'm like, 'I know they're cooking me online,' but after a while you've just gotta laugh about it." He went on to say that he's "seen the highs and the lows" of being a viral sensation.
Is Will Crown still working with Burger King?
Following the success of the "Whopper Whopper" commercial, Crown continued working with Burger King, offering up different versions of the catchy jingle. In an interview with Kiss 92.5 in March 2023, he explained how the collaboration came to be. "I just happened to be around the studio, and we were just having fun. They happened to be working on the Burger King spot already. And when I walked in, they say, 'Hey, you know what, give it a try'," he said. Crown went on to confirm that he had been "doing a lot" of jingles for Burger King.
It's unclear how many different recording sessions Crown has done with the fast food franchise, or if he is still working with Burger King now, but unfortunately, while many love the delicious burger, not everyone is a fan of his work. Writing on Reddit, one person described the commercials as "horrible," while someone else admitted to muting their television "every damn time." However, Crown has said that he "just wants to make an honest living," and previously revealed that the success of the Burger King jingles allowed him to transition out of his 15-year government contractor job to focus full-time on music. So regardless of whether customers like the songs or not, it's certainly been a life-changing opportunity for the man behind the music.
