What You Didn't Know About Chick-Fil-A's Employee Scholarships

Chick-fil-A has held the title of the favorite fast food chain among customers for the past six years. Serving up their signature original chicken sandwiches with those delectable twin pickles, alongside beautifully crafted waffle fries, it's easy to understand why people love to eat at Chick-fil-A. But the Eat Mor Chikin restaurant doesn't just serve up great food, it also serves up some pretty awesome perks and rewards to its employees. One of these rewards is the company's Chick-fil-A employee scholarships that can be used to pay for their college education. That's a pretty awesome perk if you ask us.

The Chick-fil-A employee scholarship program is aptly named Remarkable Futures Scholarships. Per the Chickenwire, there are two types of scholarships. The True Inspiration Award is worth $25,000 while the Leadership Scholarships are worth $2,500. The company awarded an amazing amount of $17 million in scholarships to 6,700 Chick-fil-A employees in 2020 alone. So, how can you be considered for this awesome opportunity? Well, first you have to work for Chick-fil-A. If you can check that box, then to be considered for a True Inspiration award you will need recommendations from specific people you work with; a GPA of at least a 3.0; some type of community service; and of course, show financial need.

Chik-fil-A also has an employee tuition reduction network

The Leadership Scholarships have similar requirements to that of the True Inspiration applicants, but if you are thinking about applying for one of these generous awards, you should brush up on all of the eligibility protocols and definitely check-out their scholarship frequently asked questions because it is full of useful information.

Per the chain's corporate blog, a 2018 winner named Saskya Simon said of winning a $25,000 scholarship, "I applied to Chick-fil-A because it's not just a business here — it's about serving people and making people happy. This scholarship is allowing me to live out my dream of attending medical school, and I'm so appreciative of that." To earn one of these coveted scholarships, the blog acknowledges that good grades are part of the equation, but how employees impact their communities through their community service also factors in. Clearly, it is an honor to be selected.

And another reason you may want to consider working at Chick-fil-A is to take advantage of the quick-service restaurant's Tuition Reduction Network that offers employee discounts at participating colleges and universities. With college being as expensive as it is, every little bit helps, and it is a really supportive way for Chick-fil-A to help its employees achieve their dreams.
