The Truth About Stephanie DeVoll From Spring Baking Championship, Season 7

Spring may be best known for its April showers and May flowers, but for foodies, it's also known for the return of one of your favorite shows: Spring Baking Championship. The seventh season of the popular cooking competition returned to Food Network on Feb. 22, with 11 eager chefs vying for the chance to be crowned the best baker. At the end of the show, the last contestant standing will receive more than just bragging rights — they'll also walk home with a $25,000 prize.

One baker hoping to win the title (and the hearts of judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman, and Lorraine Pascale) is Stephanie DeVoll of Norwalk, California. The 32-year-old and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu told The Norwalk Patriot that she was approached by the producers of the show via Instagram. "I absolutely said yes, because nobody turns down the Food Network," she gushed, adding, "I would do it again in a heartbeat; it was so much fun." Here's what you should know about DeVoll as season seven gets underway.

Stephanie started her own dessert catering business

Stephanie DeVoll is more than just a baker — she's also a successful entrepreneur. In 2017, she teamed up with her friend and now business partner Mandy Arburua to launch Whisk'd Away Patisserie, a dessert catering business that specializes in handmade pastries. She told Voyage LA that the idea came from their mutual passion for baking and that they started out doing small events until it grew into something bigger. "Having so much fun doing what we both loved we realized it was something we could do on our own," DeVoll said. "We now have a lot of returning clients that we have celebrated milestones with, baby showers, weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries," (via Voyage LA).

Whisk'd Away's menu includes a range of scrumptious sweets, from wedding cakes to macarons to custom sugar cookies (and even vegan treats!) and serves customers throughout southern California. "We do anything big, all the way to small," DeVoll told The Norwalk Patriot. "We always tell people, 'Come get whisked away' with us."
