Everything We Know About Drew Barrymore's Upcoming 'Rebel' Cookbook

Actress, entrepreneur and TV presenter Drew Barrymore may be known for her acting chops and entrepreneurial spirit, but she's also quite the foodie, too. Over the years, Barrymore has developed a better relationship with food, according to an interview she did with Eating Well, and now has a better grasp on staying balanced when it comes to her well-being. "I eat pretty clean for the most part, which is hard for me to say about other areas of my life. I'm getting better as I get older. I did not [always] take care of myself," she told the publication.

Today, she's quite the role model as she prioritizes eating enough vegetables and staying on top of her health, but also cuts herself some slack with occasional cheat meals. Barrymore also mentioned that being a mother has taught her to be more aware of the food she consumes. She's a hands-on mom and is constantly thinking of ways to feed her children well. "I'm always trying to find a balance with them between a variety of fruits and vegetables as well as that other thing," she told Eating Well.

Now, the actress has taken her love of food a step further. Barrymore recently revealed exciting details on "The Drew Barrymore Show" about her new upcoming cookbook — here's what we know so far.

Barrymore's cookbook looks like a special treat for fans

As reported by People, Drew Barrymore is all set for the launch of her cookbook, "Rebel Homemaker: Food, Family, Life." She revealed that the book gave her a chance to collaborate with her friend and chef Pilar Valdes, who is a regular on Barrymore's show. The book will be released on November 2, 2021.

Barrymore and Valdes could hardly contain their excitement on "The Drew Barrymore Show" episode where they spoke of the launch (via YouTube). "We wrote a cookbook!" they shouted. The actress explained that she decided to write the book with Valdes because food was an integral part of their friendship and Barrymore couldn't help but feel passionate about cooking and baking up new dishes.

The actress has been working hard and using cookbooks to expand her knowledge. "Cookbooks are like schoolbooks for me, and I read them front to back. I love the stories. I love learning a technique," she said to People. Now, fans will be able to dig into Barrymore's very own cookbook (and make those dishes with tools from her cookware line). According to Penguin Random House, the book will include personal snippets from Barrymore's world, beautiful photographs, moving anecdotes, and more. Basically, it sounds like this will be a glimpse into her "rebellious brand of homemaking" served with a healthy helping of delicious recipes.
