You'll only need a handful of ingredients for these flavorful bites, and they're sure to knock the socks off of anyone you make them for. Whether you're having the family or friends over for brunch, bringing a platter of these tasty bites to a friend's house, or making them for the kids for any easy out-the-door treat, these will do the trick. Keep scrolling to find out how to make these excellent mini egg soufflés.

Gather the ingredients to prepare these mini egg soufflés

Like we mentioned before, there are not a ton of ingredients that go into this breakfast dish. You'll just need a cup of real bacon bits, ½ cup of chopped green onions, 10 eggs, four egg whites, 1 cup of milk, a dash of table salt, cheddar cheese, and cooking spray. If you would like to add ham or sausage, Johnson shares that those both make great additions. Once the items are good to go, you're ready to get started on the prep work.

Preheat the oven, and whisk the egg mixture

Before you do anything else, preheat your oven to 325 F. While you are waiting for the oven to heat up, grab a bowl, because you can put your whisking skills to good use. You'll want to add the egg whites, eggs, milk, and salt into the bowl. Whisk the mixture well so that everything is blended nicely. Once you are finished working with the egg mixture, you are ready to move on to the next step of prep work, which is equally as easy.

Combine the green onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese in another bowl

Set your egg mixture to the side. Grab another bowl to mix the remainder of your ingredients together. You'll toss in the green onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese. We like to call it the "fun bowl," because it has all the really good stuff in it. Set it to the side, and spray a 12-tin muffin pan with cooking oil so the eggs won't stick to the pan. Now, you're ready to move on again. See how simple this is?

Add the egg mixture and bacon to the cups

Here's the fun part. Distribute the egg mixture equally in each of the 12 muffin tins. After that, you'll want to take a spoonful of the cheese, chives, and bacon mixture, and place it over the eggs. Now, it's ready to go in your preheated oven. Set the timer for 25 minutes, and take them out when the timer dings. It may be hard not to dig in right away, but it's best to let these mini egg treats cool for five minutes before enjoying.

Enjoy these adorable mini egg soufflés

These will keep for a few days in the fridge and can also be frozen for easy breakfast ideas. Include these soufflés in your next weekend brunch spread, displayed on a pretty platter, of course, and you are sure to get a round of applause from your guests. Not only are these great breakfast and brunch eats, but they also make for tasty protein-packed snacks. But however you choose to enjoy them, this recipe is bound to be a new favorite.
