Starbucks Fans Are Freaking Out Over This Target Free Refill Tip
There are countless reasons to shop at Target, from the products they sell to the employees benefits they offer. And don't forget that food court! But if you're a Starbucks lover, this one's for you.
You probably already know that most Target locations have a Starbucks coffee stand inside that offers the same types of frosty Frappucinos, cake pops, and other caffeinated drinks as its standalone stores. As it turns out, Starbucks at Target don't just offer the same drinks. They also share another feature more commonly associated with larger Starbucks locations: free refills. TikTok user bestoftarget, who makes videos all about shopping at Target, made a TikTok video replying to a question from user Lisannewilcox, who asked, "Don't you get free refills if you're shopping there"? Bestoftarget was skeptical at first, but as her video revealed, "Yes!!!" You can indeed get refills on hot coffee, iced coffee, and iced tea while you're shopping.
That's right. You can stop by Target, grab a cup of joe, browse the clearance rack (and all the other aisles, if we're being honest here), and swing back for more coffee. Here's how you can get it.
How to get free Starbucks at Target
To get your free refills on coffee or iced tea, you will first need to be a registered member of the Starbucks reward program. The easiest way is to download the app on your phone; it's reloadable and can be scanned directly from your device. Once you've got the app, go ahead and order any beverage — it's the cup that's important (via Hip2Save). Set your sights on the glories of the Target racks, drink your beverage, and enjoy.
When your cup is empty, save it and cruise on back to the Starbucks counter. Order your hot or cold beverage (again, keep in mind which cup you're using — your second order must be the same size as your first, and it's probably not ideal to get hot coffee in a cup meant for iced drinks). Scan your Starbucks card and enjoy round two! If you're not a Starbucks rewards member, Hip2Save notes you can still get refills, but they'll cost 50 cents each.
Again, we really didn't need yet another reason to slowly browse the aisles of Target during those kid-free hours at school or on our day off. But with savings like this great Starbucks hack, we might just make Target our second home.
