Paula Deen Makes Instagram Smile By Celebrating Her Grandson's Birthday With This Sweet Photo

If you're one of Paula Deen's 417,000 Instagram followers, you've probably noticed that a majority of her page is filled with IGTV videos from her "Love & Best Dishes" web series, which often show her demonstrating how to whip up a delectable meal. This weekend, however, the former Food Network star deviated a bit from her usual posting routine by instead giving a birthday shoutout to someone especially important to her – her grandson, Jack, who is the eldest child of her son, Jaimie Deen, and his wife, Brooke's three children (via Savannah Now and Twitter).

Taking to her account on Saturday, August 21, the 74-year-old delighted her massive social media following as she commemorated her first grandchild's special day with a sweet photo of the grandmother-and-grandson duo posing next to each other with huge smiles across their faces. "Y'all, I cannot believe my first grandboy is turnin' 15 today," the butter-loving chef captioned her post. "Happy birthday, Jack – I hope you know how very loved and special you are!"

Fans can't get over how much Jack Deen has grown up

Having been in the public eye since publishing her first cookbook in 1998 (via Paula Deen's website), Paula Deen has earned quite a following, and now it appears that her grandson Jack has a sizeable fanbase as well. Along with nearly 19,000 likes, Deen's sweet snap has also received hundreds of comments from followers sending birthday wishes to her first grandchild along with messages of disbelief that he was already 15. "Wow! I remember when he was born. Where did that 15 years go?? Happy birthday!" user elaine9800 wrote (via Instagram), while Instagrammer pattiyahnis56 declared that Jack's 15th birthday was a sign that they were "officially old." Others, meanwhile, couldn't help but take note of the resemblance between the teen and his father, Jaimie. "He looks just like his daddy! Proud grams. Adorable pic!!" commented user @mercier5552.

Jack is the eldest of Deen's 10 grandchildren, all of whom affectionately refer to the chef as Guinny. In a blog post on her website, she explained that she loves that her grandkids have so many cousins and that one of her goals in life is to give them all the opportunity to grow up together. "And if you ask me, there's no better place for play dates than at Guinny's house," she wrote. Hopefully, the entire Deen clan was able to gather safely together at her house in celebration of Jack's 15th birthday this year!
