SweeTARTS is taking its slogan "Be Both" to the next level. The candy has long been known for being both sweet and tart, but now, it's both chewy and crunchy too. According to a press release received by Mashed, the dual-textured, dual-flavored candy goes by the name Chewy Fusions, and it's the newest variation of SweeTARTS, joining Ropes, Chewy, and Original (via the SweeTARTS website). As described in the release, "Each delicious fruit-flavored candy piece has a thin, crispy candy shell with crunchy candy bits inside surrounding a soft chewy center."
From the sound of things, the resulting texture might make for a snacking experience that you'd be hard-pressed to find in other types of candy. And the flavors make it even better. If you're a fan of the fruit punch-flavored SweeTARTS, you might especially love the taste of SweeTARTS Chewy Fusions. Each 9-ounce bag, sold exclusively at Walmart, contains five different fruit punch flavors: Cherry Punch, Strawberry Punch, Watermelon Punch, Tropical Punch, and Mixed Berry Punch.
