Christmas tree up? Check. Lights on the house? Check. Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" blasting from the stereo? Check. It's officially the Christmas season with all these essentials marked off the list, but there's a new treat in town that will definitely guarantee you a spot on the "nice" list. Milk Bar, the bakery by celebrity chef Christina Tosi, has just released its new Double Chocolate Caramel Cream Cake In Celebration of Mariah Carey's Black Irish, which is her very own brand of Irish cream.
Milk Bar describes the dessert on its website as "a double chocolate chip cake with cheesecake, gooey caramel, coffee milk crumble, and caramel frosting." The $80 cake comes in just one six-inch size, which Milk Bar says will feed around 8 to 12 people. Luckily for everyone across the country, Milk Bar will ship the cake anywhere in the United States. "The holidays are the perfect time for something sweet. ... This cake is perfect for holiday parties or simply for indulging in your sweet tooth — a tasty morsel that I know everyone will enjoy," Carey said about the cake (via Food Network).
Mariah Carey's Black Irish helps make this Milk Bar cake irresistible
According to Food Network, the Double Chocolate Caramel Cream Cake In Celebration of Mariah Carey's Black Irish is inspired by the salted caramel flavor of Mariah Carey's Irish cream brand, Black Irish. Other flavors in the Black Irish collection include original and white chocolate, the latter of which is made from Belgian chocolate, and all blends contain cream from Irish dairy farms and Irish whiskey. Although the liqueur was released earlier this year in August, Carey had the holidays in mind when producing the Irish cream. "I wanted to create something that embodies the holidays and gives everyone a reason to celebrate year-round, and I really think we have done that with Black Irish," Carey said (via Food & Wine).
It's no surprise, then, that Carey partnered with Milk Bar to bake up this spectacular holiday cake. The reveal is part of Milk Bar's Holiday Lab Program, through which the bakery puts out a new product every week, but there's a catch — it's only available in small quantities for a limited time.
