According to a press release by Krispy Kreme, the chain plans to offer the buy-one-get-one deal of the season. For every dozen donuts that you buy in stores, via takeout, or through the drive-thru, you can pick up another dozen Original Glazed donuts for just $1 more. The promotion lands on December 12 as part of the chain-wide Day of Dozens deal.
As far as the fine print goes, Krispy Kreme limits the offer to two per customer, so, four dozen donuts total. Additionally, it appears to be a single-day promotion, so if you want to get your hands on free donuts, you may want to act fast. If you miss out, don't worry: Delish reports that Krispy Kreme plans to continue its giveaway of one free Original Glazed donut per customer who shows proof of vaccination through the end of 2021 — and that's redeemable once per day.

The chain actually doubled its free donut deal for vaccinated customers in September, giving away two per customer instead of one (via Food & Wine). By the beginning of June, the chain had given away 1.5 million donuts and still decided to let everyone grab another free fried delight for National Donut Day, per CBS. The good times didn't stop there. People also reported that the chain honored first responders on October 28, handing out small coffees alongside donuts to anyone with a valid piece of identification.
With this kind of track record, you can almost guarantee that Krispy Kreme will continue to dish out freebies and sweet deals for some time to come.
