The Shocking Thing A Flight Attendant Allegedly Found In An Airplane Meal

Air travel, who doesn't love it? Apparently, many people don't, as ABC News reports that about 6.5% of all Americans have aviophobia, which is another word for fear of flying. Besides plane crashes, what's the worst thing that could happen? One of the most terrifying things to happen on a plane was presented in 1963 on an episode of "The Twilight Zone" called "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet," in which a man is convinced that there's a monster on the wing of an in-flight airplane, but only he can see the monster while other passengers remain oblivious. However, that's just fiction, and the reality might be even more horrific.

How about those airplane meals? Which revealed some of the worst food that flyers have been served on planes, and the list includes chicken and mashed potatoes drenched in grease, burnt cauliflower, cold pasta, and a classic omelet that's unappetizing, among many others. More recently, a flight attendant allegedly found one of the most shocking things in her airplane meal.

There was a severed snake head in the flight attendant's airplane meal

Eat This, Not That reports that many in-flight foods are not suitable for eating at high altitudes because they cause dehydration, bloating, or unpleasant odors. Avoidable foods include broccoli, garlic, fish, fast food burgers, diet Coke, and (gasp) beverages such as coffee and alcohol. But according to the aviation blog One Mile at a Time, on a SunExpress flight from Ankara to Düsseldorf on July 21, 2022, a flight attendant allegedly found a chopped-off snake head in her meal that should've consisted of only potatoes and vegetables.

Video of the horrifying discovery was posted on social media, but the catering company responsible for the food on SunExpress Airlines flights denies all allegations and claims that the snake head couldn't have possibly come from their kitchen, so it's up to each individual to decide who to trust in this gnarly case.

Horrible things similar to this one have happened before – Smarter Travel revealed that there had been cases where people found maggots, cockroaches, and shards of broken glass in their airplane meals, so keep a sharp eye on your meals when high in the air.
