Kahini has been in the digital media industry for nearly a decade, working as a writer, producer, editor, and host at media houses in Mumbai and Toronto. Coming from a film background, she accidentally fell in love with lifestyle and culture journalism. Her work has been featured in publications like Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. Following a stint as an editor at Tweak India, Kahini is now a freelance writer and content consultant.


She has an honours B.A. in anthropology and art history with an English minor.
