Kellye's love of cooking began as her mom's sous chef, but a middle school home economics class sparked her appreciation for the cooking process (she still has some of those original recipes). As a seasoned professional, she has more than 20 years of professional content writing experience. In 2013, she completed a culinary program that introduced her to the inner workings of professional kitchens, including recipe testing for Kraft Heinz. Most recently, she contributed to Parade as a food and drink writer, covering food safety, rankings, and food trends. Her passion is researching unfamiliar subjects and translating complex information into useful tips. Her Notes app is packed with categorized lists of foods, drinks, and restaurants she wants to try.
