The Bachelor Who Attempted To Eat 100 Cookies

When former reality TV stars post pictures of their food on social media, it may be a bit shocking for one particular reason — that's because you've probably never actually seen contestants eat during their time on the show. If you take a close look at dinner dates televised on "The Bachelor" for example, you'll notice a lot of food, but no chewing, and that's because cast members aren't allowed to eat while filming their dates, per the director's orders (per Refinery29).

Since we're not used to seeing anyone in the Bachelor Nation eat, discovering what the contestants' favorite snacks are can be really interesting because it's like you're uncovering a whole new side of their personalities. For instance, it may have been surprising to find out that women on "The Bachelorette" ate Oreos and peanut butter as their go-to late-night snack (per Delish).

It looks like they weren't the only ones who loved cookies — one former "Bachelor" star definitely surprised us all when he posted a video in which he tried to eat 100 cookies. Matt James, who made history as the first Black lead of the show, took to social media to document the feat. Here's everything that went down in the video.

Will you accept this cookie?

It's no question that Matt James wooed everyone on Season 25 with his charismatic personality, but he also impressed viewers when he revealed that he was a former NCAA football player. He even proved his true aptitude for fitness when he went on to compete in "Dancing With The Stars" in 2021.

So, it's no surprise that he was shredding the slopes while on a snowboarding trip at the Beaver Creek resort in December 2022. Funny enough, that was the same trip when he posted the video to his Instagram in which he attempts to eat 100 cookies. "At 3 o'clock every day at the base of the mountain, they pass out free chocolate chip cookies," the reality TV star explained in the clip. "Today, I'm gonna see how many free chocolate chip cookies I can get."

The video goes on to show James running around the resort to collect and eat as many cookies as he can. "I'll never turn down a cookie," he said in the middle of his quest. By the end of the video, James manages to take an entire tray of cookies away from a chef — all in good fun — bringing the total tally up to 47 cookies. Sadly, that's short of his goal of 100, but James gets an A for effort. While he doesn't actually show the camera whether or not he finishes all 47 cookies, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time.
