Hailey Bieber's Air Fryer Wings Debuted On Her Brand New Cooking Show

Model Hailey Bieber is trading high heels for spatulas in her new YouTube cooking show, "What's in My Kitchen?" Filmed in the actual Bieber family kitchen, the first episode of six was uploaded last week to her more than two-million-subscriber channel. To kick off the series, she prepared her own air-fried chicken wing recipe. She begins by adding buttermilk-coated chicken with garlic powder, garlic salt, onion powder, black pepper, and a 24 herbs and spices seasoning to one container. The chicken is then placed aside to marinate as Bieber prepares another bowl, loaded with flour, cornstarch, and similar ingredients. Then, it's time for her to coat the chicken, first placing each piece in a bowl of beaten eggs.

Additional prep work is completed as the wings cook. During the 15 to 20 minutes they spend in the air fryer, Bieber adds honey, Japanese barbeque sauce, sriracha, and cayenne flakes. "This is definitely the best thing I have made yet on this show but that doesn't mean I'm not eager to top it," she exclaims at the end. This is in reference to the one-off episodes she's dropped in the past, as this show was actually introduced in late 2022, although it left TikTok feeling skeptical.

The show was made possible by fan requests

Hailey Bieber's recent chicken-filled episode served as the official seasonal kick-off for "What's in My Kitchen?" though not long ago, Bieber dropped a few "spare" episodes upon the show's announcement. Bieber introduced the series to her Instagram story in December 2022, citing fan requests as the reason behind the show's inception. Before this, she'd shared content of her preparing pizza toast, smoothies, and Tuscan pasta on her social media platforms.

The first video shared of "What's in My Kitchen?" followed Bieber as she prepared two types of breakfasts — one for busy mornings and one for when more time permits. A couple months later, she followed up with a video starring her mom and nana. This time, she made her nana's famed pao de queijo recipe.

From the start, Bieber made it clear that her show was meant for fun, and not to be taken too seriously. "Disclaimer: I'm just a foodie that loves to cook, but I am NOT a professional chef ... This is just my Hailey way of doing it!" she revealed.
