This Butter Pecan Cookie Tin At Costco Is Turning Heads

Not much of a baker? Making sure that your holiday feast includes delicious and festive cookies to make the event feel like a celebration doesn't have to be super stressful — and it doesn't have to be very expensive either. Costco-spotting Instagram account, @Costco_doesitagain, just shared a photo of this jolly looking cookie tin of Butter Pecan Meltaways from brand David's Cookies, and pointed out that the whole two pound tin is only $9.99. According to the tin, these Butter Pecan Meltaways are "melt-in-your-mouth cookies" that are "made with real butter, chopped pecans, and dusted with powdered sugar."

Just don't expect to keep them in your kitchen too long — as one commenter wrote, "Bought, very good but dangerous. We finished them in three days." Plus, the cookies are sure to be popular with your (COVID-tested, socially distant) guests: another commenter wrote, "Me and my coworkers tore these up when I brought them to the Thanksgiving potluck." While you hopefully won't be going to any holiday parties this year, it's nice to know that those around you will appreciate the treat.

These cookies are perfect for the holiday season

We think powdered sugar-coated butter pecan cookies are a total Christmas classic. They're in the same vein as panettone and holiday-shaped marzipan cookies — something buttery and sweet that you wouldn't typically be purchasing January through October. Plus, with their powdered sugar coating, these cookies are basically just a sugary slow flurry.

On Costco's website, you can get a 2-pack of the 32 ounce tins of David's Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways on sale for $27.99 ('til December 20th, when they go back to being $34.99). It's more expensive than buying these cookies in-store, where you could get two 32 ounce tins for $19.98, but a solid option if you can't make it out to your local Costco – or if they're sold out of the sweet treats.

"These delectable butter pecan meltaways are the perfect snack or dessert for the whole family," Costco tells us. "The treats are made with pure creamy butter and large pecan chunks and have just the right amount of powdered sugar to satisfy your sweet tooth." Yum!
