Paris Hilton rocks a few different pairs of gloves, from long red gloves that go up to her fingertips to playful pink fingerless gloves. In the last episode, "Breakfast in the Clouds with Kim Kardashian West," both Hilton and Kardashian wear what look like your classic blue disposable medical gloves. But why is Paris Hilton always wearing gloves while cooking?

Distractify wrote about why Paris Hilton wears gloves in the kitchen and pulled up a YouTube video where she makes lasagna. In this tutorial, Hilton wears black fingerless gloves, and her explanation for this comes while shredding mozzarella.
"I'm going to get another piece of cheese 'cause I'm scared I'm going to start grinding my fingers off," Hilton said in the YouTube video, also called Cooking with Paris. "That's why I wear my chef gloves. They're usually for sliving but now that it's 2020, you're still going to see sliving, but sliving it in a different way."
Distractify notes that "sliving" is a term Hilton came up with that combines the ideas of slaying and living your best life, which she revealed in an interview with E!. Making sure you don't have any cuts on your fingers certainly does sound like living your best life in the kitchen, and of course, you get the added benefit of looking your very best and making a statement.
