Gordon Ramsay's Hilarious Response To Daughter Tilly's Strictly Dance Partner

While the U.S.A. has "Dancing with the Stars," Britain has its own take on the competition show with BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing," which premiered its 2021 season on September 18 (via Metro). The formula is familiar: Celebrities come in with various degrees of dancing skill, train with professionals, and try to establish enough chemistry with their partners to impress the judges with their foxtrot and tango.

One celebrity contestant better not develop too much chemistry with her professional dance partner — at least if she wants to keep her celebrity chef father happy. Tilly Ramsay, the 19-year-old daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay, will dance on "Strictly" with Nikita Kuzmin, who is making his debut on the BBC program. Kuzmin is a six-time national dancing champion in Italy who has appeared on "Let's Dance Germany."

The BBC Strictly Twitter account posted a video to promote the show, featuring Tilly Ramsay and Kuzmin. The video includes a clip of Tilly introducing her father to Kuzmin via FaceTime. Dad offers a sincere "Congratulations, good luck to you both," but then asks Kuzmin to do something about his half-unbuttoned shirt. "Nikita, could you do your shirt up?" Ramsay says.

Gordon Ramsay supports daughter Tilly's Strictly appearance - with limits

Tilly Ramsay was clearly embarrassed after her dad Gordon Ramsay asked her "Strictly" dance partner Nikita Kuzmin to button up his shirt (via Twitter). But Gordon had set the tone from the start. When Tilly's participation in "Strictly" 2021 was announced, she got a surprise video message from her parents, according to Metro. In what was surely intended to be a parental pep talk, Gordon offered a strict warning, too, saying, "Don't date those dancers!" Gordon also retweeted BBC Strictly's promotional video, adding the caption, "Nikita do that shirt up!!!! You got this Tills!!!"

Gordon sent his daughter some more encouragement via his TikTok account: "Go get them @tillyramsay!! Your old man definitely doesn't have the moves to be on @bbcstrictly!!"

Tilly has already shown off her dancing skills, on TikTok. In fact, she offered "Strictly" fans a taste of what they might expect when the show goes live on September 25. She posted a TikTok video September 19 showing her and professional dance partner Kuzmin busting a move or two. Nikita didn't step on Tilly's toes (almost, though), and they showed enough spark together to impress TikTok commenters.

"Just me, who thinks they'll end up together?" one commenter asked — implying romantically, of course. Another replied, "He needs to remember who her dad is."
