Country star and cookbook author Trisha Yearwood had her 988,000 Instagram followers swooning with one of her latest updates, a snap that captured her and her country star husband Garth Brooks sharing a smooch (via Instagram). The sweet and steamy Instagram share was paired with a caption in which she announced that Brooks would be joining her at an event for part of her virtual book tour celebrating the release of her latest cookbook, "Trisha's Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends & Family," which will be published on September 28, according to People. His guest appearance in one of the September 30 time slots of the virtual book tour was "JUST CONFIRMED," as Yearwood wrote in the caption, also using a pet name and referring to Brooks as her "honey."

The Southern star even teased her husband a little bit, and after revealing that the duo would be making her Hot Honey Biscuits recipe, she added: "We'll see if that name sticks after he helps me in the kitchen!" with a crying laughing emoji for punctuation. Brooks actually penned the foreword for the cookbook, and it contains several Brooks-approved dishes according to Yearwood, from a breakfast burger with maple hot butter to "Garth's Teriyaki Bowls," a dish inspired by a sushi place the couple used to visit in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What fans thought about the intimate Instagram share

Within less than 24 hours of going live, the simple post showing the couple kissing racked up over 31,000 likes as well as 375 comments from Yearwood's fans. "Frame that photo!" one fan wrote, followed by a heart emoji, loving the sweet share. Another fan added, "who's that young, thin guy you're smooching on? Y'all turned back the clock somehow." Yet another chimed in with a simple: "I just love y'all's love."

There was one fan who had tickets for a later time slot that same day, and she cheekily wrote, "You should tell him to stick around for the 6pm event too!" with two winking emoji, wanting to see Brooks on screen as well.

As Classic Country Music reports, Yearwood published her first cookbook, "Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen," in 2008, and her latest release will be the fourth title she has penned. Yearwood has also been showing off her culinary prowess and gracing television screens on her cooking show, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," since 2012, according to IMDb — that's 16 seasons and counting of home-cooked Southern fare courtesy of the country star, and she shows no signs of slowing down.
