Good News For Fans Of Aldi's Raven's Roast Coffee
Halloween is almost upon us and, if you're anything like us, you've been paying attention to the fun seasonal treats offered by grocery stores and restaurants in anticipation of the spooky fall holiday. There's Dunkin's peanut butter cup-flavored iced macchiato, Papa John's Jack-O-Lantern pizza featuring pepperoni slices in the design of a smiling pumpkin, and ketchup king Heinz is even temporarily rebranding its famous tomato condiment – long used as the "blood" aspect of gory Halloween costumes – as "Tomato Blood" to get into the spirit of the holiday.
Aldi, the beloved chain of reasonably-priced groceries, has already gone full Halloween, loading shelves with items such as a chocolate haunted house cookie kit, pumpkin- and ghost-shaped mini frozen pizzas, and dried pasta in the shape of bats, spiders, and pumpkins. Plus, it has restocked a perennial Halloween favorite that Insider put on its list of high-quality and low-priced items to buy at Aldi in October. Plus, it's a good choice for those who prefer caffeine over the typically sugary offerings of the season.
Raven's Roast coffee is back at Aldi stores
Those who enjoy a flavored cup of morning joe will be thrilled to hear that Raven's Roast, Aldi's popular Halloween offering from its Barissimo coffee line, has come back to store shelves. And Redditers are pretty excited about it. Over on the r/Aldi subreddit, user u/SiestaSloth posted a simple picture of the bag of coffee along with the subject line, "We waited a whole year for Raven's Roast to be back." Made with 100% arabica coffee and featuring honey and fruit flavors, the ground beans come in 10-ounce bags that are reportedly going for $3.99 a pop at the OP's location.
It seems that user is not alone in their love of this spooky coffee, with user u/Key-Preference-6552 writing, "This is the best flavored/specialty coffee at Aldi in my opinion. I also buy 3-4 bags when it comes out!" "100% agree," user u/Aggravating-Lychee27 responded. "We typically only drink dark roasts at home, and don't care for most of Aldi's coffee offerings. This one is a win, though."
We'll keep those words in mind for the morning of November 1, when we'll likely need to cure a sugar hangover with a steaming cup of java.
