Chick-Fil-A Is Celebrating Its New Holiday Film With A Sweet Freebie

While the Hallmark Channel might have cornered the market on holiday movies, Chick-fil-A has released its holiday campaign that is filled with wonder, joy, and a few unexpected moments along the way. Since the holidays are filled with some of the sweetest gifts, the popular quick-service restaurant is spreading a little extra holiday cheer with a free gift. For those ready to unwrap a holiday treat, The Whoopsery is waiting to be explored.

For the past two years, Chick-fil-A has chronicled the adventures of Sam in its holiday promotions. In this year's campaign, Sam and her friend CeCe discover The Whoopsery, where the unexpected leads to the sweetest discovery (via The Chicken Wire). After a family ornament is broken, the pair bake up a new version that has the family appreciating the sunny side of life (via Stories of Evergreen Hills). Capturing both a classic holiday moment and the sentiment of finding the positive in life's mistakes, the short holiday film suggests that the start of something wonderful is waiting to be discovered.

According to a statement shared with Mashed, the film will air on Thanksgiving but is available for online viewing on November 9. For people who visit The Whoopsery online and explore the bakery, a sweet treat could be waiting to be mixed up. And, keeping with the holiday idea of it being better to give than receive, the sweet freebie is meant to be shared with a friend.

What Chick-fil-A sweet freebie is waiting behind the doors of The Whoopsery?

While holiday campaigns often tug at the heartstrings, Chick-fil-A is adding a sweet surprise for guests who take a trip to Evergreen Hills and help the baker at The Whoopsery. After a few clicks, guests can give and get a free Peppermint Chip Milkshake. According to The Chicken Wire, the special offer will be mailed to participants. While there is an undisclosed number of free Peppermint Chip Milkshake offers available, everyone will receive a recipe card for a Peppermint Milkshake Pie. When the sweet freebie offer hits its limit the promotion will offer a digital version of the Peppermint Milkshake Pie recipe.

Although the free milkshake offer might have many people heading to the website to redeem the offer, the bigger conversation is that the recipe is meant to be given to a friend. Granted, free food offers seem to scroll across the phone every day, but this promotion is about giving and receiving. Even though participants do receive a treat, that act of giving seems to reflect the Chick-fil-A leadership's mission. While the holiday campaign shows how two girls turned a sad moment into something special, that isn't limited to a fictional Evergreen Hills. This holiday season it might be time to mix up something better.
