Joanna Gaines Posted A Heart-Melting Birthday Tribute To Chip

Joanna and Chip Gaines are one of reality TV's most popular couples. Fans may have tuned in to their "Fixer-Upper" show as much for the sweet moments and banter between the two as they did for the farmhouse-style makeovers the duo performed on their client's dream homes, TV Over Mind points out. Fans followed the Gaineses even after the couple stepped back from "Fixer-Upper" to launch the Magnolia Network, which offers home, garden, and cooking shows including "Family Dinner," starring Andrew Zimmern, and Joanna's own show, "Magnolia Table."

Sometimes success can drive couples apart. You know the saying: More money, more problems. But the Gaineses, whose Magnolia brand is said to be worth $750 million (via OK!), seem to be just as in love and devoted to each other as ever.

Parts of the Chip-and-Jo love story are well known: Chip fell in love with Joanna after seeing a photo of her at her dad's auto repair shop, returned when she was working at the shop, asked her out on a date, and the rest was history (via PopSugar). Two decades and five children later, and the couple is still in love, as evidenced by Joanna's recent birthday message to her husband on Instagram.

Fans feel the birthday love

Joanna Gaines posted a sweet photo on Instagram of herself and Chip holding hands as they strolled on what looks to be their Texas property, along with the caption: "You make life better for all of us. Happy Birthday to the very best." Of course, many of Joanna Gaines's 13 million Instagram followers loved the post, which, as of this writing, had more than 400,000 likes.

Many others chimed in with well-wishes for Chip's birthday, including celebrity friends of the power couple like "Sunday TODAY" host Willie Geist, country music singer Chely Wright, actor Sophia Bush, former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho, "Fixer-Upper" carpenter and host of Magnolia Network's "Restoration Road" Clint Harp, and E! News reporter Jason Kennedy.

Fan designsbykaran wrote, "Happy birthday Chip. Nothing like sharing these moments with your soul mate." And lindadremstedt commented, "I thought he cut his hair? Happy birthday. Thanks for all the design and building ideas! And a show the whole family enjoys!!" Chips's birthday isn't the only milestone Joanna has recently shared. According to People, the spouses celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary last June with a tropical vacation. Joanna shared photos and footage of the trip on Instagram with the caption, "18 years. Thankful to be on this adventure with you—happy anniversary @chipgaines." Fans of the Gaineses will be able to watch more of their programming when DIY becomes Magnolia Network in January 2022.
