Giada De Laurentiis Is Turning Heads With This 'Pinch Me' Moment

It's easy to think that no new professional achievement could give a moment of pause to Giada De Laurentiis. The 51-year old celebrity chef has had a dazzling career full of accomplishments since working with the famous Wolfgang Puck at Spago in the 1990s: she's launched her own catering company, worked as a food stylist, was "discovered" by the Food Network, and went on to host several shows and write best-selling cookbooks (via Biography). When you're already a household name and have a net worth of $30 million, what's left to achieve?

Well, apparently, her latest project was kind of a dream come true for Giada. De Laurentiis collaborated with Bloomingdales to create "Happy Together," a holiday pop-up shop at the retailer's 59th Street store in Manhattan and online. For it, De Laurentiis curated eight food gift boxes ranging from $35 to $175. The festive Giadzy-branded gift sets are filled with goodies that the chef says remind her of the foods she grew up on in Italy. Giada also recommended other gift items for the pop-up, from eye-catching kitchenware perfect for entertaining to cozy pajamas for the whole family.

Bloomingdale's pop-up sparks nostalgia for Giada

The idea of doing a holiday pop-up shop with Bloomingdale's made Giada De Laurentiis nostalgic. "I grew up shopping at Bloomingdale's with my mom and I always loved looking at the holiday window displays," she said. "It's an iconic store, and I'm so thrilled to team up for this (via Bloomingdale's)."

In a recent Instagram post, Giada posed with one of the gift boxes during the pop-up's debut event at the 59th Street Bloomingdales. The post read: "Pinch me moment.... seeing our @thegiadzy gift boxes in @bloomingdales for the 1st time!! Sooo happy!! Thx Bloomies for the fun evening & allowing me to share the Italian family businesses & foods I love with so many!!"

Not surprisingly, Giada's followers responded positively. "Iron Chef" Michael Symon offered a "Congrats!" and fan juliedaileyart commented, "I know someone who is getting this for Christmas!!"
