Ben Affleck Has Dunkin' Every Single Day

We have all probably heard the slogan "America runs on Dunkin'" at this point, but there is one specific American who pops into our minds whenever we think of Dunkin', Ben Affleck. The Hollywood actor was interviewed by Collider in 2019 and told the online magazine, "I have Dunkin Donuts everyday. It's very weird, I have it every day and people are always like, 'Where is that? Is that near here?' So, I feel like I'm spreading the word."

Ben Affleck was famously snapped by paparazzi grabbing his delivery of Dunkin' and packages in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic while many Americans were still at home social distancing, as reported by Page Six. The image of the celebrity picking up his contactless dunkin' order while juggling a delivered package was similar to the experience many Americans were having at the time and relatable. It helped solidify Ben Affleck in the minds of Americans, and of course, promoted Dunkin' at a time when brands were struggling to connect with customers.

Affleck has fully embraced the brand partnership and recently starred in a new commercial with Dunkin' that features him being mistaken for his best friend Matt Damon and having an existential crisis about being a "commercial actor," while promoting a Dunkin' Run.

The Dunkin' Boston connection

The commercial follows a Super Bowl 2023 commercial that featured Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, one of Hollywood's hottest couples. The commercial was shot at a Dunkin' restaurant in Medford, MA. Affleck reportedly worked at a Dunkin' drive-thru near Boston while filming the Super Bowl commercial, according to ET. Fans were in shock when he took their orders and handed them their coffee with one fan telling ET, "He took my order and I handed him a $10 and he threw it right back at me and handed me my iced coffee."

The brand states in a news release about the Super Bowl commercial, "Affleck's long-standing love for Dunkin' started when he was a kid in Massachusetts. Like so many Dunkin' diehards, growing up with the brand made him a lifelong fan." The brand deal between Dunkin' and Ben Affleck is worth millions of dollars, according to a source at ET. So what draws Ben Affleck to Dunkin'? Ben told People that he enjoys the association that coffee has with "community and talking to friends." If you were wondering what his go-to order is, it's simple enough. He mentions "iced coffee, milk, and two sugars, sometimes Splenda" in the interview, and occasionally almond milk.

Dunkin' also apparently runs in the family with Ben Affleck's brother, Casey Affleck, playing a "real" Dunkin' customer in a "Saturday Night Live" comedy skit back in 2016 and calling himself the "Mayor of Dunkin's" and "Face of Dunkin." Although that was more satirical in format, it shows the long-running connection between Dunkin' and Boston, which Ben Affleck grew up in.
