As consumers face very real economic scares this year, the prospect of buying Halloween candy may seem daunting to a lot of people. That's not even factoring in the skyrocketing prices of seasonal sweets. FinanceBuzz compiled retailer data showing the prices of bulk Halloween candy bags at four major supermarkets have increased by a whopping 71% since 2021. But don't cancel your holiday plans just yet. Mashed created a list of the cheapest places to stock up on Halloween candy in 2026, places where you can find affordably priced chocolates, gummies, and other spooky sweets.

Some stores made the list because of their ultra-low prices in general, while others did so because they offer good deals on bulk volumes of candy. Along with popular stores like Walmart and Aldi, we included unexpected retailers like Ollie's and Five Below. Candy is mandatory for any household participating in trick-or-treat festivities, but if you're just looking to build your personal stock instead, remember that the best time to buy Halloween candy is a few days before or immediately after the holiday, as seasonal products are priced much cheaper then. And if you need help with your selection, you can also check out our picks for the best new Halloween candy to try in 2026.

Dollar Tree

With its famously low prices, Dollar Tree is a cheap candy haven this Halloween. You'll find traditional goodies like Reese's Pumpkins as well as spooky Halloween Pops and Boo Bling Candy Jewelry for just $1.25. But if you're new to the chain, there are some ground rules to know when shopping for food at Dollar Tree.

Walmart

Walmart began courting higher-income shoppers over the last few years as food inflation impacted the chain's usual demographics. But when it comes to Halloween candy, the store still has a good selection of the classics at affordable prices. Shoppers can score a variety pack of Reese's Pumpkins for $5.57 or go old-school with a 2.25-pound bag of Smarties Trick or Sweet packs for $5.87.

Ollie's

Ollie's is a bargain outlet store with over 650 locations throughout the U.S. The chain specializes in reduced-price name-brand goods because it buys up closeout stock and excess inventory from other retailers. Shoppers can snag lots of cheap bulk treats at Ollie's this October, like a 7.1-ounce bag of Dum-Dums Swirls lollipops for the low price of $2.49.

Family Dollar

Family Dollar has some scary-good deals on popular Halloween candy this month. Instead of paying an arm and a leg elsewhere, you can get name-brand goodies like the Snickers, Twix, Milky Way & 3 Musketeers Minis Chocolate Candy Bars Variety Pack for only $5.95 per bag.

Sam's Club

If you want your home to be Treat Central this October 31, bulk candy is the way to go. Buying bags of candy from Sam's Club lets you access a lower per-unit price, meaning you get more for your money. Take the Hershey's 365-count Halloween Miniatures Chocolate & Sweets Candy Variety Pack. At $29.98 a bag, Sam's Club shoppers pay a little over 8 cents per treat for a bag of KitKat, Reese's, Jolly Rancher Chews, Whoppers, and Rolo.

Aldi

Aldi's reputation for low-cost grocery staples extends to its selection of spooky sweets and treats. The chain specializes in private-label goods, but its Halloween selection features Hershey's, Mars, and other big brands. This includes the Sour Patch Kids Candy Halloween Mix, which retails for $9.94 and contains 80 individual treat-size bags. And if it's your first trip to Aldi, be sure to add these must-have Aldi products to your cart.

Dollar General

You can't beat Dollar General's candy deals this spooky season. Shoppers who love nostalgic candy will love the Tootsie Child's Play assortment, which costs $5.50 and features Dots, Tootsie Fruit Chews, Tootsie Pops, and classic Tootsie Rolls. The store even offers unbeatably low prices on new treats, like the Ghoulish Green Twix, which retails for $5 and comes with approximately 12 fun-size candy bars per bag.

Five Below

Have you ever walked into a Five Below and come out with neon green mascara, a Ferrari poster, and a SpongeBob-shaped night light? Just me? Regardless of your attitude toward whimsy, the store has an unbelievable candy selection, including lots of Halloween treats. Speaking of Mr. SquarePants, Five Below fans can snag a cute Krabby Patties Gummy Candy Mix for just $5 a bag.

Amazon

There are a few compelling reasons to order your Halloween candy from Amazon. First and foremost, its expansive bulk selection is highly affordable. For instance, the 115-count Hershey's Assorted Chocolate Halloween Candy Bulk Variety Pack, which features Rolo, KitKat, Reese's, Hershey's, Whoppers, and Milk Duds, is just $18.49 (currently on sale for $17.09).
