Good News For Fans Of McDonald's Pumpkin Creme Pies

We're halfway through September, which means all-the-things-pumpkin season has been in full swing for a few weeks now. You may have already had your fill of Starbucks PSLs and their numerous knockoffs, and you may even have ventured further afield into slightly more original territory, enjoying such off-the-vine products as pumpkin Alfredo sauce, pumpkin hummus, and even pumpkin spiked seltzer (Trader Joe's, once again, scores maximum pumpkin product points).

Though the classic pumpkin dish, now and forever, will always be the one that actually seems to mark the end of pumpkin season: pumpkin pie. While no traditional Thanksgiving dinner would be complete without this dessert, once the last slice is eaten, the yuletide festivities are upon us and pumpkin makes way for peppermint. If baking's your thing, it's not too difficult to make your own pumpkin pie either, but if you're more of a shortcut person, you probably prefer Costco's version. If you don't want to commit to an entire pie, however, you'll be pleased to hear that, according to one Instagrammer, McDonald's Pumpkin & Creme pies are back in town!

The return of McDonald's popular pumpkin mini-pies is evidently kind of a big deal, so much so that Food Network felt compelled to even broadcast the news. They did, however, point out that McDonald's has yet to announce the official launch date of the 2021 pies. They also note that not all McDonald's franchisees may be obligated to sell them, as was also noted by the Instagram poster's caption: "Pumpkin & Creme Pies are back at participating @mcdonalds locations!!!" Let's just hope that more Mickey D's choose to "participate" in providing these pies than not.

If you go in search of these, just know results may vary. That being said, there's no doubt that just the possibility of getting your hands on these pies is enough to generate plenty of excitement and make the hunt worth it. As the Instagram poster said, "Great for whenever you've got that pumpkin pie craving." And comments on the post were all pretty enthusiastic, too, if the profusion of heart and happy face emojis are anything to go by. Commenters using words also verbalized such remarks as, "I gotta find these!" as well as putting out their intentions to the universe to bring the pies to a location near them.
