Who doesn't love "Family Feud?" Furthermore, who doesn't love Joanna Gaines? Ever wonder what would happen if you put the host of cooking show in charge of the classic game show? You'd probably get survey questions like: Name a favorite Thanksgiving side dish. And that's exactly what happened in a brief Instagram video. Gaines posted an outtake from the filming of her "Magnolia Table" holiday side dishes episode (Season 4, Episode 4, per the official website), and in it, she admits she's always wanted to compete on the iconic, 45-year old game show (via IMDB).
In the video, Gaines is dressed in a black ruffle-necked top with a festive bow and is seen chatting with the show's director, who is off-screen. Together, they imagine a round of "Family Feud" as the perky host gets into position with her hands poised above an invisible buzzer (though, actually, she's holding a pretty serious looking knife, as she's in the middle of chopping nuts). So, what would the "Fixer-Upper" star's answers be to the question? Stuffing, green bean casserole, "cranberry things" (which elicited a big buzzer noise), mashed potatoes, and rolls. "I nailed it," says a satisfied Gaines at the end, as she goes back to chopping.
Of course, many of her 13 million Instagram followers had thoughts, too.

Joanna Gaines' followers were delighted by the star's moment of on-set silliness. One person said, "I loved the episode! You crack me up girl and I just love your show!" Of Joanna's little dance she does at the beginning of the video, another person commented, "The entrance is everything." Gaines' response of "cranberry things" also garnered a ton of laugh emojis and one person who said, "This is gold!" Another person believes Gaines has a shot on "Family Feud," suggesting she'd call up the show's host Steve Harvey herself, and then added, "I'm pretty sure that dream can come true. And if none of your kids want to play, I'll be your family member."
Of course, her followers also had thoughts on the holiday sides she named. One person said their go-to was "bread-and-aspargus bake," though we're sure the survey says no to that being a popular pick. Another said their table would be filled with "stuffing, collard greens, macaroni & cheese, potato salad, and candied yams." And another follower declared, "GRAVY FTW!"
So, how closely aligned were Gaines' suggestions with America's real-life favorite holiday sides? According to this Delish map showing the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes in each state, mashed potatoes were number one, followed by stuffing/dressing, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potatoes. Also, cranberry sauce ranked at the top only in New Hampshire so clearly some still like "cranberry things."
