Mikaela is a freelance food writer, recipe developer, and passionate home cook. She grew up in Washington DC, a city that raised her to explore diversity through food pathways and nurture constant curiosity with unforgettable monument picnics.


Mikaela's primary field of study is anthropology; communication studies, where she grew to adopt a cultural lens that informs and inspires her food writing style.
