Fall is a wondrous time of year for Trader Joe's shoppers. Pumpkin spice mania is in full swing and tons of other seasonal items drop too. Part of the fun of shopping at Trader Joe's in the fall is knowing these goods are only around for a limited time. But some fall finds are simply too good to say goodbye to.

The grocery brand regularly rotates items in and out of its stores, both to make room for new finds (including seasonal items) and to bump items with low sales volume. That means many fall favorites have a painfully short shelf life (one of the few things customers don't like about the chain).

Still, some seasonal products are worth fighting for. These fall finds in particular have the kind of flavor appeal and versatility that make them worthy of a more permanent place in Trader Joe's lineup. So whether you're looking for a savory weeknight meal, a heavenly-smelling sweet breakfast, or a unique salad upgrade, these are the fall finds many a customer feels should stick around long after the season is over.

Pumpkin Gnocchi

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Gnocchi proves the beloved gourd can hold its own beyond the pumpkin spice trend. While pumpkin is undoubtedly a fall flavor, that doesn't mean it can't translate to delicious meals year-round. This gnocchi is a nice alternative to TJ's cauliflower gnocchi, especially if you're looking for a more traditional gnocchi texture.

There are multiple posts on Reddit of TJ's shoppers sharing recipe ideas for the pumpkin gnocchi. Many Redditors like that the pillowy, potato-based gnocchi has a subtle pumpkin flavor that pairs well with simple sauces like brown butter and sage, olive oil and Parmesan, or pesto. Savory proteins like pancetta or chicken sausage are favorite additions as well, providing a nice contrast to the sweetness of the gnocchi. That's part of what makes it such a compelling candidate as a year-round staple: You can dress it up in so many ways.

According to Trader Joe's cooking instructions, it also makes for a quick meal. You can boil the gnocchi for just two minutes to achieve an al dente texture. But some Redditors recommend pan-frying it for a firmer, crispier texture. It may take a little longer than boiling, but that extra step takes the gnocchi to the next level. And at $3.29 for a 14-ounce package, you can experiment to your heart's content — at least until the end of fall (sigh).

Caramelized Onion Goat's Milk Cheese

Trader Joe's already has a pretty impressive cheese selection, but the Caramelized Onion Goat's Milk Cheese is a standout that has some shoppers clamoring for it to stick around. The sweet and umami caramelized onion flavor perfectly complements the tangy goat cheese. One Redditor declared, "I bought one on Monday morning. It was gone by yesterday afternoon and I have no regrets. And will be going back for more." That seemed to be a common sentiment, while others lamented after the cheese was gone from shelves, citing it as a regular purchase before it disappeared.

There are other flavored goat cheese options year-round at Trader Joe's, like honey and herbs, but the caramelized onion flavor is just as versatile. Redditors shared their cracker preferences for the cheese, which included seasonal options like pumpkin cranberry crisps but also multigrain crackers and the Norwegian crispbread. It also works well with burgers, sandwiches, pastries, or on a cheese board.

A 4-ounce package, or mini log, is just $3.29, making it an affordable indulgence shoppers would likely buy again and again if Trader Joe's decided to make it a year-round offering.

Apple Cinnamon Buns

Any time is a good time for a cinnamon bun, especially these Apple Cinnamon Buns from Trader Joe's. As one Redditor put it, "Imagine if you put apple pie inside a cinnamon roll." These Danish-style pastries have a flaky exterior with an apple cinnamon compote filling and a crumbly streusel topping. It's a sugary breakfast treat that goes well with a cup of coffee or even some ice cream if you're having it for dessert.

Shoppers recommend warming them up for a better experience. You can microwave them for 10 to 15 seconds or even throw them into an air fryer to crisp up the dough and serve them with butter.

These Trader Joe's pastries come two to a box for $4.99, so there's even more reason to stock up if you like them. And you probably should. Fans of these cinnamon buns report wishing they had bought more before the end of the season. They're definitely a repeat buy, and a popular one at that, as some shoppers report the buns quickly go out of stock soon after they're put out. With such high demand, these apple-filled pastries have all the makings of a Trader Joe's classic.

Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese

Trader Joe's has no shortage of frozen mac and cheese options. The Joe's Diner version is even one of our favorite TJ's frozen pasta options. But the Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese is arguably the best Trader Joe's fall product offering out there. It provides a more sophisticated take on the classic comfort food, blending a rich béchamel cheese sauce with sweet butternut squash and an aromatic blend of spices. Despite the already cheesy flavor, many fans of this mac and cheese actually recommend adding even more cheese, such as TJ's cheddar-Parmesan hybrid, Unexpected Cheddar.

The product ranked No. 2 overall in Trader Joe's 2026 Customer Choice Awards. And Trader Joe's shoppers consistently rave about this seasonal food item, with one Redditor proclaiming it's "Still the best frozen Mac and cheese I've ever had hands down." Others in the same thread advised fellow fans to stock up and celebrated the fact that they still had a few boxes squirreled away at the end of the season.

At $3.79 for a 12-ounce package, it's definitely an affordable way to switch up your usual mac-and-cheese routine. And while the butternut squash aspect might scream fall, the flavor is mostly thyme and cheese, according to some on Reddit, and other Redditors and independent Aldi reviewers also confirm you can't really taste squash, giving it plenty of appeal even after fall has come and gone.

Harvest Apple Salad Kit

Salad may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about unique fall foods, but Trader Joe's Harvest Apple Salad Kit makes a pretty convincing case for it. The kit combines a mix of seasonal leafy greens, shredded Unexpected Cheddar, crunchy apple chips, and pecan pieces along with a delicious apple vinaigrette. "I am so happy this is back!! It's one of my all time fav TJs products!!" one Instagrammer raved. Other TJ's fans concurred, mentioning they buy multiples of the kit when it's in stock.

In fact, the kit has developed quite a following on both Instagram and Reddit, where TJ's shoppers swap recipe ideas for elevating the salad, adding everything from fresh apples to chicken sausage and smoked salmon. Fans can't get enough of the sweet-and-savory ingredient combos, which make it a great starting point for a meal.

Trader Joe's product development must have been reading the comments because many Harvest Apple Salad Kit lovers wished the brand would sell the Apple Vinaigrette Dressing separately, and this year, it finally released something similar. Although it's seasonal too (for now), you can pick up the dressing by itself for $3.49 a bottle or a few 9.2-ounce bags of the salad kit for $3.99.
