Experience

Sara is passionate about building community and connecting people through her love of writing, food, and culture. Growing up, Sara always gravitated to the kitchen. At eight years old, she would run home from school just in time to catch her favorite show, "Barefoot Contessa," on Food Network, and not much has changed since. Her favorite thing is trying new foods, products, and restaurants and then sharing her latest obsession with friends and family. She loves to keep up with celebrity chefs and food trends, and the thing that fills her cup up the most is learning about the rich history of a particular food or culture and sharing that with others. This abundant passion for learning led Sara to her dynamic career in writing and publishing.

Education

With a bachelor's degree in public and community service studies from Providence College, Sara's degree focused on food insecurity, where she researched and worked with local nonprofits. Studying abroad in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Switzerland piqued her curiosity about global food trends and topics including fair-trade coffee and food cooperatives.
