Halloween is naturally the sweet focus of October, but not everyone is into chocolate pumpkins and candy corn. If you prefer pastries and cakes to pilfering Halloween candy from an unsuspecting trick-or-treater's stash, Costco has lots of amazing Kirkland Signature bakes available this month. The chain's bakery selection is legendary among shoppers, and certain Kirkland Signature desserts may be mistaken for homemade. For this selection, we highlighted five Kirkland Signature items that Costco members have raved about online.

Being fall and all, the inclusion of pumpkin-flavored desserts is practically mandatory. You'll also find less common treats, including an intriguing croissant hybrid. Costco customers are a passionate bunch, and word of mouth travels fast when it comes to especially popular items. That could affect the availability of these treats, but you can take a page out of the seasoned shopper's playbook. Costco locations tend to restock their shelves every night, so visiting the store early in the morning might improve your luck.

Pumpkin Cheesecake with Whipped Topping

Costco's iconic pumpkin pie is a staple of autumn, and the seasonal dessert is hotly anticipated by shoppers as it returns to stores each year. But this year, it's not the one we're most looking forward to. Not to besmirch a classic fall dessert, but the chain has an even more enticing item in its bakery this October: the Pumpkin Cheesecake with Whipped Topping. A Costco member on Reddit said, "It's absolutely delicious. I recommend everyone try it if you like pumpkin flavored stuff." And on Facebook, a fan of the dessert exclaimed, "Yes it's delicious! The problem is there are only 2 in our household and we'd eat the entire cheesecake."

Along with its pumpkin cheesecake base, this item features a sweetened graham cracker crust and a fluffy spiced whipped topping sprinkled with toasted graham cracker crumbles. It's also notable that the label lists pumpkin as an ingredient. Accordingly, one can assume the dessert contains real pumpkin rather than similar squash varieties. If you're concerned about taking down a whole cheesecake in a short time — or worse, being unable to finish the treat before it spoils — one Redditor advises "cutting one up into 30+ pieces and freezing it for a little bite of cool happiness every now and then."

Mini Beignets Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut

If you've ever wondered about the differences between donuts and beignets, the answer is: not much. Both are fried, though beignet dough is typically less sweet. Beignets, which are linked to New Orleans and its French-influenced culinary practices, also have an airier texture than donuts and sometimes come with indulgent fillings like Nutella and pastry cream. New Orleans-style beignets are usually square, but the original French versions can be round. That brings us to the Kirkland Signature Mini Beignets Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut, which a Costco member on Reddit hailed as "So delicious!" They also favorably compared them to real-deal New Orleans beignets, which is as good an endorsement as the dessert can get.

There was one small complaint about freshness. According to a Redditor, "You have to eat [these beignets] quick before they start going stale." However, that didn't seem to be an issue for most Costco members. As one person put it, "You literally cannot stop inhaling them once you start!" You can also freeze them, according to another Redditor, who said, "Freeze them right away and defrost them in the fridge overnight...They taste exactly the same as before they were frozen."

Caramel Apple Strudel Bites

When satiating a sweet tooth, it's sometimes necessary to pull out all the stops. And according to a post on r/CostcoCanada, there's a Kirkland Signature dessert that can easily be considered the MOAB (mother of all bites). "What the heck do they put in these?" a shopper asked after sampling the Caramel Apple Strudel Bites. "I have eaten 4 in a row...Will never buy them again because I don't know when to stop." The post was met with almost universal approval, with another commenter admitting, "We bought them Sunday, and when I got home from work on Monday [my husband] ate 4."

It's hard to deny a flaky, sugary pastry with caramel-apple filling. But no worries, as these packs come with 12 bites each, which means there should be enough to go around, theoretically. This dessert is a natural pairing for the Kirkland Signature Premium Vanilla Ice Cream, which we ranked as one of the best Kirkland dairy products to buy at Costco. A Redditor also recommended a more inventive pairing. After heating the strudel bites, "Cool for 2-3 minutes then scarf them down with a slice of really sharp white cheddar."

Blueberry Caramelized Cheesecake Croissant

You may be asking yourself, "What in the heck is a Blueberry Caramelized Cheesecake Croissant?" Imagine a blueberry-infused cheesecake with a caramelized croissant bottom and butter streusel topping (essentially sweet, buttery crumbles). Still confused? Let's not get bogged down in the details. Just consider what Costco shoppers had to say about the multi-component pastry.

On Reddit, a shopper said, "The croissant was crisp and flaky, the cheesecake filling was perfectly creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the blueberries were delightful" (though they said a more generous distribution of the fruit would have been appreciated). Another commenter jokingly replied, "Yeah they're a 0/5 for me because all of them disappear into my stomach in about 2 hours."

Pumpkin Streusel Muffins

Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Streusel Muffins are apparently so impressive that they inspire feats of strength. "I vow to have eaten 100 of these by Christmas this year," one Redditor proclaimed with the conviction of a Hobbit trying to haul a ring up a huge scary mountain. Another Redditor replied, "Just had these at work and it was delicious! Not overpowering, but tasty." These muffins are actually a returning seasonal item, and we previously ranked them among the best fall foods at Costco in 2025.

While bulk groceries can often be more affordable, spoilage is a concern when it comes to perishables. Fortunately, freezing beloved Costco muffins is easier and more effective than you might think. When using this storage method, Costco muffins typically retain quality for up to four months, provided that they're protected against air exposure and your freezer temperature is set to 0 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
