Food History And Fun Facts, Easy Recipes, Comfort Food
  • Beth's background in cultural anthropology fuels her fascination with how food shapes and reflects cultures. She's passionate about uncovering the stories behind food, especially the celebratory cuisines of holidays and special occasions.
  • With a long history of kitchen blunders, she's an expert in testing so-called 'foolproof recipes' and has developed the art of making simplicity taste like a feast.
  • Beth still grieves the loss of Taco Bell's Quesarito, which was a cheesy testament to the unexpected joys of fast-food innovations.

Beth enjoys a hybrid career as a college writing instructor and a freelance writer. In addition to covering the food space, her writing portfolio spans from regional travel blogs to crafting compelling copy for industry giants in retail and tech. When not teaching or writing, Beth's ideal day is a long hike followed by a tasty meal.

Beth graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with majors in communication and anthropology and a minor in English. She also received an M.A. in communication studies from San Jose State University.
