  • Melis is not only adept at veganizing recipes, but also at making them conform to various dietary restrictions. They are extremely proud of their vegan, gluten-free, ritual-standard challah recipe.

Melis is a professional journalist with extensive experience producing content for the food space. In addition to their work at Mashed, they have also contributed to Tasting Table and Daily Meal. Melis previously served as a senior contributor to Geek Girl Authority, where they published more than 300 articles. They have also written for Autostraddle, Cuarto Poder, and El Público. Melis formerly worked as an segment editor at Backyard Boss and earlier, as the managing video producer at an international news outlet.

Education

Melis holds a bachelor's degree in film and television production from New York University. They were also issued a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages by Cambridge Assessment English.
