  • While at Best Life, a leading publication in the lifestyle journalism space, he learned the ropes of celebrity news reporting. He brings the same dedication to reliable and in depth reporting he developed there to his work at Mashed, where he follows the development of celebrity chef brands.


Owen Duff studied English at Bard College and French literature at Oxford University. Shortly after obtaining his master's degree in Modern Languages, he got his start in cultural reporting and journalism at Galvanized Media, a leading lifestyle journalism media company. He began writing for Eat This, Not That! in 2019, reporting on trends in the worlds of health, wellness, and national food and restaurant brands. Concurrent with his work at Eat This, Not That!, he joined Mashed in early 2021, where he writes about the history of and developments in the U.S. fast-food industry.


Owen got his B.A. in English from Bard College in 2014 and his M.Phil. in Modern Languages from Oxford University in 2017. Reading widely across multiple national literatures, his education prepared him for the unique work of online cultural reporting and journalism.
